Welcome to every soul from every corner of the world; welcome to Braselide.Braselide is the online platform of opinions and discussions about the many problems of Haiti. The site was put together because as Haiti’s sons and daughters; we felt we have something to say, that we need to make our voice heard, that we have the right to an opinion. If you really hold this country dear; this site gives you the chance to take a stand, to let the world know what you’re thinking because sometimes our silence makes us guilty, our indifference can be unbearable. Lord knows how much inspirational speech , how many good visions, how many great ideas are being muzzled just because we won’t speak our mind. Often times, we are prone to confining ourselves in the comfort of our inaction, choosing to be spectators of our own tragic story; rather than actors capable of shaping the destiny of our community. So if you’re reading theses lines, consider them as an invitation to self-expression, as a call to action. The change we all hope for Haiti is not going to happen if we don’t engage ourselves in the process of making this age-old dream become a reality. Given the urgency of the hour and the gravity of the situation; time is now. It’s about time that we make our voice heard; it’s about time that we all claim our role in the future of this misery-laden country. The pledge for the future begins with us the Haitian youth, for we are the cradle of every single thing to come. Our pledge begins here on this site. It begins with a comment, an opinion, an idea or a speech. We should be the echo of the voice of a generation aware its country's tumultuous past but resolute to fight the fight for a better tomorrow. So come along! Say what you think, express yourself. Let’s write, talk, comment and cogitate for we should never underestimate the potency of words and the power of the speech. If we can’t be the generation of change that Haiti’s been waiting for; let’s at least be the voice to spark the mind of that generation.
